What is IVF Treatment?

In-vitro fertilization is a fertility treatment suitable for those couples who cannot conceive after one year of unprotected intercourse. In this process, multiple eggs are retrieved from ovaries and fertilized by the partner’s sperm externally in a lab. It takes around 3 weeks to complete one cycle of IVF fertility treatment.

    IVF procedure

    Birth control pills: Your doctor will prescribe birth control pills to control your menstrual cycle timing.
    Ovarian stimulation: During IVF pregnancy treatment, hormone medications will be injected into your body to allow eggs to mature.
    Egg retrieval: Your eggs will be retrieved through a thin needle and placed in a dish.
    Fertilization: After egg retrieval, your doctor will fertilize them by injecting sperm into all matured eggs.
    Embryo development: In the next six days, the process of embryo development will be done.
    Embryo transfer: The embryo will be transferred back to the uterus within 3-7 days.
    Pregnancy: Pregnancy will happen if the embryo implants in the uterine lining. It will be checked after 14 days.
